Amer Khan, MD, Founder
Innovation, mind-body connection, wellness and holistic health care are Dr. Khan's passions. He started his journey with initial training in pediatrics, followed by a fellowship in pediatric neurology, becoming intrigued along the way in the integral and pivotal role played by sleep in the human body. He received Board Certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child Neurology and later in Sleep Medicine. He followed the path to learning about and utilizing iRest® (www.irest.us) and cognitive behavior therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) in his practice to benefit a large number of his patients with insomnia. He is presently writing a book about his experiences with his patients in a book about insomnia, and is busy with research on the effects of iRest® on sleep.
Iram Khan, RYT, iRest® Instructor
Iram experienced yoga for the first time in 2004. Since then, she has developed a beautiful relationship of peace, trust and joyfulness with this ancient practice of wisdom. She believes that Raja yoga gave her the foundation to connect deeply with her soul. In 2011, her longing to learn more about the discipline led her to earn her a yoga teacher training certificate from the Sierra Center for Yoga Studies under the guidance of Bhavani Girard and Richard Valdez.
In 2012, she received her iRest® Yoga Nidra level 1 teacher training with its founder Richard Miller, PhD, at the Integrative Restoration Institute. In 2013 she completed her level 2 training in iRest® Yoga Nidra and is currently working on her full Level 3 certification.
Her favorite words are "breathe, relax, smile and enjoy...."
